On moving day
• Plan on spending the entire day with the movers. don’t leave until they have finished.

• take a final walk through the house, including storage areas and the attic to make sure everything is empty.
• Lock all windows and doors.
• carry enough cash or traveler’s checks to cover the cost of moving services and expenses until you make banking
connections in your new city/address/location.
