When asked about property features that were increasing and decreasing in demand in the USA, outdoor living was the only
property feature to only be increasing in demand. The USA, with its strong cultural emphasis on outdoor sports, extensive
national park network, diverse landscapes and climates alongside generally lower density and larger properties suit buyers
looking for outdoor space. These motivations were re昀氀ected in the demand for waterfront properties, properties with yard/
garden space and mountain homes. The increase in demand for new constructions was greater in the USA than globally, this
may be re昀氀ective of buyers looking for land rather than properties with intention to build homes in the environments that they
are prioritising.
