NEW DEVELOPMENTS
What’s being built & where it’s heading
New Developments
Greater Charlotte is in a multi-year expansion
cycle with cranes across the core and new
rooftops radiating in every direction. In the city,
Uptown continues to add mixed-use high-rises
and hotel-branded residences; South End/LoSo
delivers transit-oriented mid-rises, adaptivereuse lofts, and infill townhomes along the Rail
Trail; SouthPark focuses on boutique, low-density
luxury with larger floor plans near flagship retail;
and Camp North End/River District-type nodes
blend creative office, food halls, and next-gen
apartments into walkable districts. South of the
loop, Ballantyne layers new residential and town
centers into park- and office-anchored campuses.

To the north, the Lake Norman corridor
(Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville)
mixes waterfront custom homes, low-/mid-rise
condos, and amenity-rich neighborhoods near
marinas and greenways. East and southeast,
Matthews/Waxhaw/Weddington/Indian Trail see
master-planned communities and estate-lot
construction; Fort Mill/Indian Land/Tega Cay
across the SC line add strong-school districts and
large single-family pipelines. University City/
Light-rail areas round it out with student/
medical-adjacent housing and townhome infill.
The Agency Charlotte tracks the pipeline across
these corridors and underwrites each
opportunity, so you can choose a new
construction with con昀椀dence.
